Our Sustainability Story
Every plant we ship is nurtured in 100% peat-free soil. We've partnered with local carbon-offsetting initiatives to ensure that from the moment a seed sprouts in our nursery to the day it arrives on your doorstep, our footprint is as light as a leaf.
Eco-Friendly Packaging
No plastic tape. No bubble wrap. Our custom-designed "Breathe-Easy" boxes are made from 100% recycled materials and are fully compostable. We use organic straw inserts to keep your new friend hydrated and safe during transit.

Weekly Spotlight: The Monstera Adansonii
Commonly known as the "Swiss Cheese Plant," this climber is native to South and Central America. The holes in its leaves (fenestrations) serve a purpose in its native habitat, allowing heavy rainforest winds to pass through without tearing the foliage. To care for one at home, provide a moss pole for climbing and keep humidity above 50% for larger leaf growth.
Grown With
Intention.
PlantsStore began in a small 400sqft greenhouse in Portland, Oregon. Today, we are a collective of over 12 independent nurseries across the country. Our philosophy is rooted in care, sustainability, and deep respect for life’s rhythms.
Our mission is simple: to connect humans with nature in a way that respects the Earth. We don’t believe in the disposable “seasonal plant” culture. We sell living organisms intended to grow old with you, nurtured with love from seed to home.
A Philosophy of Care
Every plant in our collection is chosen for its ability to thrive and connect people to nature’s rhythms. We emphasize mindfulness in growth: choosing species that resonate with your living space, climate, and lifestyle.
We believe that nurturing plants nurtures the soul. By observing their cycles, leaves, and blossoms, we learn patience, rhythm, and the quiet power of life.
Sustainability is not just a word — it’s our practice. From eco-conscious packaging to water-saving irrigation systems, every step is designed to reduce waste and respect the planet.
Growing Together
Our community of plant lovers spans the globe. We host workshops, online tutorials, and local events to empower new gardeners and seasoned enthusiasts alike.
From soil composition tips to propagation guidance, we share knowledge freely — because growth is better when it is shared.
Whether you are cultivating a windowsill jungle, a balcony herb garden, or a home sanctuary, we provide tools, guidance, and inspiration every step of the way.
A Vision for the Future
We aim to inspire a new generation of conscious gardeners who see plants not as objects, but as living companions. Our vision is a world where every home has a green heartbeat, and every gardener understands the harmony between people, plants, and the planet.
Together, we grow. Together, we flourish. Together, we reconnect with the magic of nature — one leaf at a time.
